Join us this December at the Professional Golfers’ Association Annual Lunch where we have a fantastic afternoon of festive entertainment planned including our special guest of honour, one of Ireland’s most successful golfer’s, Eamonn Darcy.
The PGA Lunch is a great occasion to entertain clients, colleagues and friends, where you and your guests will enjoy a fabulous 3 course lunch before sitting back to be entertained by our guest speakers . This is one hospitality occasion you won’t want to miss.
This year’s guest of honour will be four time European Ryder Cup team player Eamon Darcy.
Now playing on the Senior Tour, Eamonn is one of Ireland’s most successful golfers. He made his Ryder Cup debut in 1975 but the highlight of his long career came in the 1987 Ryder Cup, when he holed a four foot downhill putt on the 18th green at Muirfield Village to defeat Ben Crenshaw in the singles, and in the process helped Tony Jacklin’s European side win the trophy for the first time on US soil. Prior to joining the Senior Tour Eamonn won four European Tour titles.
The brilliant comedian Ian Moore will complete the afternoon’s entertainment in his own inimitable style. As well as being a sought after comedian achieving great success on the London and National circuits, Ian is a regular guest on BBC5 Live’s “Fighting Talk” & BT Sport’s “The Football’s On”. At the famous London Comedy Store London Ian is a regular headliner and following a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Festival went on to appear alongside the likes of Jimmy Carr and Lee Mack at the pinnacle of all comedy festivals – Montreal’s “Just for Laughs”.
“One of the Country’s top comedians” The Guardian
“Don’t miss a single word … Moore is a cultured comic” The London Evening Standard
Former BBC Sports reporter Dougie Donnelly now commentates on European Tour Productions worldwide live TV coverage of the European Tour travelling to around 20 tournaments a year around the world.
Our host for the afternoon is Sandy Jones, former Chief Executive of the PGA and one of the game’s most respected figures. After over 25 years in the role of Chief Executive, Sandy has recently stepped aside but will still play an active role within the Association as an Executive President and a trustee of the Associations Benevolent Fund.
