The PGA Lunches

The official sporting lunches of the Professional Golfers' Association

Unique and prestigious events celebrating the careers of some of the worlds great golfers, from Major champions to victorious Ryder Cup captains and players.


In 2001, as part of the PGA's centenary celebrations, the first PGA lunch was launched at the Grosvenor House in London. Additional lunches now take place in Glasgow and Manchester and each year, one of the games great players is honoured with the PGA Special Recognition Award at the London event.

The speakers

Outstanding players from the world of golf have been honoured at this prestigious event including Ryder Cup winning captains Thomas Bjorn, Paul McGinley, José Maria Olazábal, Colin Montgomerie, Tony Jacklin, Sam Torrance, Bernard Gallacher and Ian Woosnam, along with star players Ian Poulter, Seve Ballesteros, Darren Clarke, Padraig Harrington, Nick Faldo and many more. Every year the PGA Lunches attract a combined audience of well over 2000 guests, many of whom return year after year.
