The PGA Lunch returns to Glasgow this December for another afternoon of festive entertainment, and this year we’re welcoming two of Scotland's great golfers, Bernard Gallacher and his nephew Stephen Gallacher who'll be sharing the stories from their remarkable lives in the game. With additional entertainment from the hilarious comedian Scott Bennett, and hosted by the BBC golf broadcaster and reporter Iain Carter, this is one event you won’t want to miss!
The speakers

Bernard Gallacher
During the 1970's & 80's, Bernard Gallacher was one of the leading figures on the European Tour, winning 13 times in Europe and eight times around the world. Aged just 20, he was selected to play for Great Britain & Ireland in the Ryder Cup and went on to play eight times before captaining Europe in 1991, 1993 and 1995, where he secured victory for only the second time on U.S soil.

Stephen Gallacher
Known for his achievements on the European Tour, Stephen won four titles including back to back victories at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic. He was a captain’s pick for the 2014 Ryder Cup and has been reappointed as European Captain for the 2025 Junior Ryder Cup in New York, following his successful leadership in 2023 where Europe achieved a record 20 ½ - 9 ½ victory against the US.

Scott Bennett
An award winning comedian and writer, Scott is a headliner at the most established comedy clubs in the UK. Scott made his "Live at the Apollo" debut in 2021 and has supported and written for some of comedy's biggest names, including Jason Manford, Rob Brydon and Michael McIntyre. In 2024 he starred in the Royal Variety Performance and is currently in the midst of a sell out UK tour.

Iain Carter
For more than 2 decades, Iain has been the voice of golf on BBC Radio, leading the commentary at every Open and Ryder Cup since 2003. As well as covering other major sporting events for the BBC including the Six Nations and Wimbledon, Iain is a celebrated author and co-host of the popular podcast "The Chipping Forecast".
