The speakers

Steve Bruce
Manchester United legend and former captain, Steve Bruce played a pivotal role in their early Premier League successes, and was the bedrock on which three Championship-winning sides were built. Going on to have a career in management spanning more than 20 years, Steve won promotion to the Premier League for both Birmingham City & Hull City and most recently was the manager of League One side Blackpool.

Stuart Pearce
Stuart Pearce is one of English football’s most iconic defenders, known for his intensity and powerful left foot. A club legend at Nottingham Forest, he earned 78 England caps and was a key figure in the 1990 World Cup and 1996 European Championship squads. He later moved into senior club management roles, worked with the England senior team, and is now a respected and popular football pundit.

Dean Saunders
Dean Saunders is a Welsh former professional footballer who played as a striker. Across a career spanning nearly two decades, he played for clubs including Liverpool, whom he joined for a then British-record £2.9 million fee, Aston Villa and Derby County. He earned 75 caps for Wales, scoring 22 goals, before moving into management and later working as a football pundit, including with Talksport and other media outlets.

Mark Clemmit
Praised by former England manager Gareth Southgate for his ability to put guests at ease, Mark is a long-established BBC broadcaster and former Times columnist. Known as ‘Clem’, he is one of English football’s most familiar voices, championing the underdog beyond the Premier League. Now in his third decade on BBC Radio 5 Live, he is also a prolific event moderator, consultant and communication coach.
