Join us for an afternoon of exclusive festive fun as we welcome to Manchester one of rugby's great characters, the much loved and recently retired England and Harlequins prop, Joe Marler. Alongside best friend and co-host of his hugely popular podcast, Tom Fordyce, we're going to be taken on an entertaining  journey through Joe's remarkable rugby career and no doubt a whole lot more! As well as hearing from Joe, we're welcoming back the brilliant comedian Scott Bennett to wrap up the afternoon's entertainment.

Joe Marler

One of the most recognisable faces in world rugby, and one of the games biggest characters. A recently retired powerhouse prop, Joe played over 280 games for Harlequins and earned 95 caps for England. He was part of England's squads for multiple Rugby World Cups and won two Premiership titles. Off the pitch, Joe is a popular media figure and host to one of the UK's most popular podcasts "Joe Marler's Things People Do".

Scott Bennett

An award winning comedian and writer, Scott is a headliner at the most established comedy clubs in the UK. Scott made his "Live at the Apollo" debut in 2021 and has supported and written for some of comedy's biggest names, including Jason Manford, Rob Brydon and Michael McIntyre. In 2024 he starred in the Royal Variety Performance and is currently in the midst of a sell out UK tour.

Tom Fordyce

Tom is an award-winning writer and broadcaster. Formerly the BBC’s Chief Sports Writer, he ghost wrote Peter Crouch’s Sunday Times bestsellers, How to be a Footballer and I, Robot. He’s also written for Ronnie O’Sullivan, Geraint Thomas, Jamie Redknapp and more. He's the creative director for podcast creators the Crowd Network and co-hosts "Joe Marler's Things People Do" and the "Geraint Thomas Cycling Club".
